WORKSHOPS

Karah has directed a number of workshops including critiques, documentary photography, and writing.

Under the Documenting DETROIT project (2015-2022), she produced four intensive workshops, each over a four month period, immersing attendees in portfolio reviews, group critiques, one-on-one mentorship, and evening lectures from some of the best photographers, documentary filmmakers, editors, and curators in the industry.

During her years at the Bronx Documentary Center, Karah facilitated the 2013 Portfolio Review, the Sebastian Junger Course in Narrative Nonfiction, and the CityLore Documentary Institute: Stories for a Better World.
